Proxy Wines began when seasoned winemaker Molly Lippitt heeded the urge to make the wines beckoning from outside of her professional wheelhouse. A veteran of Napa Valley Cabernet winemaking, Molly sees Proxy as a team of expanding varietals, thoughtfully tended, made from single vineyard sources around California.
Before striking out on her own, Molly spent fifteen years working alongside many of California's most renowned and celebrated winemakers (Heidi Barrett, Philippe Melka, Julien Fayard, Mike Hirby, and Scott Rich). She credits this tutelage for honing her detail-focused, site-honoring winemaking style.
Molly currently acts as consulting winemaker for a handful of wine companies within the Napa Valley.
